Wow, I just found this completely by accident, and I'm so glad I did! Haddock's been one of my favorite fictional characters since childhood; he taught me such original, creative ways to swear! 
And now that I'm an adult, I'm suddenly finding him inexplicably attractive... which is jarring, to say the least. Guess I've always liked older men.
So hey, this is an amazing portrait! I especially like the crows' feet, and the silver in his hair. He looks very rugged. Also, I really like his nose, for some reason. It gives him heaps of character. Beautiful work!
